Back in April 2011, 4 people were arrested in Miami for attempting to buy gift cards through fake credit cards. These 4 people have tried to purchase gift cards from a Wal-Mart store in Miami. The workers at the Wal-Mart store asked the police officials to search the vehicle of the credit card scammers when they felt that something was not right. The police scrutinized each and every item of the vehicle, and discovered around 11 fake plastic cards in it.
In October 2011, hundreds of credit card fraud incidents have occurred in the Windsor belt of Florida. The chief officer of the Windsor police department says that around 12-15 credit card fraud complaints have been registered in the last few weeks of October 2011. The scammers are digging out credit card numbers from various sources. Thereafter, they are making fake plastic cards, and then using them for their financial benefits in other states of USA.
Banks, credit unions and other financial institutions are reporting of illegal charges nowadays. It is reported that 2 people in Windsor, Florida have become the fresh victim of the credit card scammers.
It is natural for the inhabitants of Florida to feel frustrated when the credit card scammers attempt to rob them of their hard earned dollars. However, things become more frustrating when the children try to cheat their parents. Recently, a man in Florida was put into the jail for scamming his parents. The man had stolen the credit card details of his parents for the sake of his son. The convicted person wanted to use the credit card details for sponsoring the gymnastics career of his son.
The man had stolen the credit card details of the several other people in the past. He used all the details to create fake credit card and email accounts. Once the accounts were created, he used the cards for meeting various expenses.
The police department was searching for this man for several months. Finally, they were able to arrest him and his wife in the second week of October, 2011.
